Dave McLane is a partner in the law firm Kaye, McLane, Bednarski & Litt, LLP. Dave received his bachelor of arts degree Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of California at Los Angeles in 1981, where he majored in Communication Studies. Dave received his law degree in 1986 from the University of California at Los Angeles School of Law. While in law school, he worked with the Manhattan District Attorney as an intern and extern for the Honorable Richard A. Gadbois, Jr., United States District Judge.
Dave specializes in criminal defense, federal and state, federal civil rights, class actions, and personal injury. He has tried many criminal cases in federal court, including complex white-collar cases, tax cases, bankruptcy fraud and false statements cases, immigration cases, federal crimes of violence, and controlled substance cases, obtaining numerous acquittals. Dave has also argued numerous cases before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, with several published opinions.
Dave has expanded his practice to state court, representing clients throughout Los Angeles County.
In the civil rights arena, Dave specializes in wrongful conviction, excessive force and FTCA and Bivens actions, obtaining multi-million dollar settlements and judgments.
