there is no established California state
program to help exonerees transition home
We're In it Together.
Our organization was founded by an exoneree on a mission to establish and provide the resources that he never had access to when he was released after spending 17 years in prison. We are here to heal and support each other as we transition from life in prison to following our deferred dreams.
Our mission is to meet the immediate needs of exonerees by helping to heal the debilitating spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical effects of being wrongfully incarcerated and to affect policy change for restoration and the righting of wrongs.
Justice For Exonerees
Today, countless exonerees need your help to rebuild the lives taken away from them. Exonerees have no federal guarantee of remuneration or support to help them rebuild their lives. That’s why we are here, and that’s why we need you.effects of being wrongfully incarcerated and to affect policy change for restoration and the righting of wrongs.
For Exonerees in California!
Since 2015, Exonerated Nation has worked with California policy makers to develop legislation to improve the lives of exonerees and overall criminal justice reform.
