EXONEREE RING PROGRAM

ABOUT THE EXONEREE RINGS

The Exoneree Ring project was conceived by Kirk Bloodsworth, the first person to be sentenced to death and subsequently exonerated through post-conviction DNA evidence. Kirk believed deeply that exonerees deserved a symbol of recognition – something akin to a championship ring – for the battles they fought and the hardships they endured.

After completing the Jewelry Technical Intensive (JTI) program at the world-renowned Revere Academy of Jewelry Arts in San Francisco, Kirk created the first prototype ring. He then partnered with Revere Academy instructor Nancy Wintrup, who helped bring the design into full production.

Each ring is crafted in sterling silver, weighing close to one troy ounce. It is available with three top designs: Death Row Exoneree, Exoneree, a blank bar (which may remain blank or be engraved).

Since the project’s beginning, Nancy Wintrup has hand-produced each ring to order. Today, Nancy is training another Revere Academy JTI graduate, Will Rupe, to help continue and preserve this meaningful project for years to come.
